Its such a great market it really is....filled with the A-Z's of thai shopping....Brooms and dusters to Zinks; Calculators; Clothes; watches; trinkets etc.
It has a GREAT area to eat with at least 50-60 stalls selling the usual from som tam to salted whole fish. We stopped by a great little place where you could sit down. Sure the service was shocking and you have to be able to speak some thai and be physically able to point! :) but the food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful with "good golly miss molly" blazing through this little sit down street eatery.
Although...yet again the parking seemed to be an issue. There is never anyone to look after your car but there is secure parking in the back. When i went the first time by myself i parked in what i assumed to be a safe area but to my dismay someone else thought not and they took a broken bottle down the side....destorying the pannles on my car. And last night some guy pitched up; asking for 20 bht to park in the secure parking (never seen these people before) and when i told him that; getting back to my car; the air had been relesed from my tyers. Oh yes it was. So my suggestion is just have "tourist police" on speed dial and when in doubt; just give them a call and that way; you showing the mornons that you mean business and are just going to be taken for a ride. Also it scares them off a little. And if you cheeky and balsy; just get a photo of the guy; because that usually is a good deterant.
